Pancakes – thin baked or grilled items round shape of batter – a traditional dish in the culinary culture of many peoples. Practice making pancakes consisted of preliterate times, had a ritual-sacred character, it is associated with solar-lunar cyclic calendar events and cults.

Of course in the preparation of the dough for pancakes use wheat, but also barley, buckwheat and oat flour or mixtures thereof. Cook pancakes on yeast and yeast-free. The dough may include egg and milk products: milk, kefir, yogurt and the like.

  • flour or flour mix of different grains – 1 event;
  • milk – 1 event;
  • beer, light or dark, preferably fresh living – 1 event;
  • eggs – 1-2;
  • salt – 2;
  • soda – 1.
  • ground spices – at the discretion;
  • a piece of lard or butter (melted butter or vegetable).


Mix in a bowl the milk, beer, eggs, salt, soda, spices and sifted flour. Spices pick up depending on fillings and, in General, from what will be served pancakes to sweet suitable cinnamon, vanilla, saffron, red chili pepper, and other savory products.

You should get a fairly liquid batter, about like yogurt. Lightly whisk it with a whisk to enrich the micro particles out of beer gas.

Heat the pan (better if it's special pancake). Fire better reduce to medium-low.

Grease the bottom of the pan, pinhole a piece of bacon on a fork, or vegetable oil using a silicone brush.

Spicy pancakes with beer and yogurt – recipe

Sesame oil, soy sauce and lemon juice will give the pancakes a special taste and aromatic shades that will remind you of pan-Asian cuisine.


  • wheat flour or mixtures of flour of different cereals 1 cup;
  • yogurt – 200 ml;
  • beer, light or dark, preferably living fresh – 200 ml;
  • chicken eggs – 2;
  • soy sauce – 1 tbsp. spoon;
  • lemon juice – 1 tbsp. spoon;
  • sesame oil – 1 tbsp. spoon;
  • soda – 1 pinch;
  • ground spices (ginger, coriander, cumin, fennel)– optional;
  • pancakes with beer and milk
  • a piece of lard or butter (melted butter or vegetable).


Mix in a bowl the beer, yogurt, eggs, soy sauce, baking soda, lemon juice, sesame oil and spices. Add the sifted flour and stir the dough with a mixer.

Good heat the pan and grease with lard or butter. Fry pancakes with the coup. Served with spicy sauces, with fish, meat, mushroom and vegetable toppings and/or snacks.
